Disney | Percy Jackson and the Olympians

For the Dutch premiere of Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Disney challenged us with an exciting assignment: photograph every special guest as if they had stepped straight out of the official movie poster.

The original artwork portrays the cast as powerful, mysterious heroes—and that was exactly the feeling we wanted to recreate. All within an incredibly tight timeframe.

In just one hour, we photographed 100 special guests, giving each of them their own moment as a modern-day demigod. To deliver this high-impact experience, we came fully prepared with professional studio lighting and a range of practical special effects, creating the iconic, magical atmosphere that defines the world of Percy Jackson.

Throughout the shoot, we provided clear direction and coaching, helping every guest embody the confidence and strength of the series’ heroes. Heroic poses, intense expressions, and dynamic movement all came together to recreate the cinematic look and feel of the original campaign.

The result was a collection of striking, cinematic portraits that delighted both the guests and Disney.
